Job Title : Head of Operations Holding Company
Location: Hyderabad
About the Role:
- We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Head of Operations to oversee and support the portfolio companies under our holding company. This is a pivotal role, acting as the principal's strategic extension-monitoring business performance, supporting portfolio growth, and ensuring alignment with the long-term vision.
- The portfolio spans sectors including pharmaceuticals (two active investments), warehousing, and AI-driven technology. The ideal candidate will be both analytically strong and operationally hands-on, with a deep understanding of business operations, financial performance, legal structuring, and capital strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the principal's eyes, ears, and strategic partner across all portfolio companies.
- Monitor operational and financial performance against business plans and report deviations.
- Regularly analyze cash flows, balance sheets, and capital investments to assess business health.
- Collaborate with portfolio company leadership to support strategic growth while respecting their autonomy.
- Identify areas of improvement, risks, and opportunities; initiate critical discussions with the principal.
- Assist in business modeling, strategic decision-making, and identifying value-creation levers.
- Lead or support deal structuring, capital calls, shareholder agreement reviews, and acquisition/fundraising activities.
- Represent the holding company in board meetings and external forums as needed.
- Prepare high-quality investment collateral, pitch decks, and reports.
- Liaise with legal advisors and ensure alignment with governance and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in operations, investment management, or strategy roles; preferably with exposure to PE, VC, or holding company environments.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, business analysis, capital planning, and operational drivers.
- Experience with legal documentation including shareholder agreements, capital calls, and M&A structuring.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across diverse teams.
- Track record of managing multiple stakeholders and navigating complex, high-stakes environments.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented with sound judgment and execution focus.
- MBA, CA, CFA, or legal qualifications preferred.
