1) Job Summary: The purpose for which the job exists Specialist Demand Planner is part of supply chain management process responsible to enable organization to project future demand and successfully projections. Through use of analytical, marketing, and sales data of organization to effectively estimate future product demands. List of duties that include planning inventory flow, analyzing statistical data, and generating forecasting solutions. The job involves evaluating the various demand planning tools and get the digitization done for the process by proactively factoring all consistencies and inconsistencies in the planning cycle. Authority: This position is accountable for: - Ensuring forecasting accuracy all Food & Grocery Products and Home & Living. Manage proactive demand planning and review supply fulfillment process. Optimize overall inventory and support organization to have a balancing working capital cycle and higher inventory turns based on the norms decided at the beginning of the year. To call for action related to inventories and planning from time to time. Responsibility: This position is primarily responsible for: - Drive collaborative demand planning process and facilitate dynamic review of consensual forecast by ensuring participation of all key stakeholders for Retail, Food Services and International Exports Businesses. - Maintain accurate demand plan in planning system to achieve service level target with least cost to serve; Continuous improvement initiatives to improve forecast accuracy. - Use business intelligence and take corrective actions to improve short range demand forecast. - Connect with the S&OP Planning team on a monthly basis to understand Business insights in terms of promotion, growth rates, Service delivery, New product developments to reach an aggregate level consensus for the long-term demand. - Provide statistical demand forecast as an input to the S&OP planning process using statistical forecasting models, Fine tune the forecast by applying suitable attributes in SAP APO. - Liaison with Sales and Marketing team on need basis to develop forecast for 1400 SKUs at product level across Dry and Temperature controlled channels for Seasonal and Regular Businesses. - Monitoring Shipments and Trends on daily basis at location level and adjusting the forecast by tracking MAPE and Bias across the product portfolio. - Control loss aging driven by Aging of products by identifying low moving SKUs and proactively communicating to sales team for early Clear outs and discounting. - Perform weekly forecast integrity checks to prevent forecast on Discontinued SKUs, Negative forecasts and such discrepancies. - Product Life Cycle Management using Like Modelling, Phase In/Phase Out techniques for devising forecast strategies for New Product Launches, Price Revisions, Customer Mergers and Product discontinuations. - Analysis of customers to understand the ordering patterns and identifying gains/losses in terms of Distribution or Turns to maintain best Item Week location level forecast accuracy. - Responsible for setting the MBQs based on the sales trend / future demands. - Must be a team player with an aptitude and attitude to immerse himself into the business - Must have a business acumen on Food and Grocery and Home and Living products Span: Individual contributor role
