Role: HRBP Retail

Grade: Senior Manager/ Deputy General Manager

Location: Corporate Office - Bangalore

Education: Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources/ Business Administration.

Experience: 5-9 years of HR experience, preferably in Retail or a large, distributed workforce environment.

Summary:

HRBP Retail will be responsible for driving the HR agenda for the Retail Store network through effective backend governance, data-driven interventions and execution of key people initiatives. The role will act as the central HR partner for the Store business, driving manpower and cost governance, employee engagement, compliance, employee relations and strategic HR interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manpower cost & Productivity enhancement:

- Prepare and own the annual store manpower budget across all manpower cost line items.

- Drive manpower cost governance by monitoring Budget vs. Actual manpower costs, partnering with RHRs and Retail Leads to identify variances, recommend corrective actions, and deliver cost optimization.

- Driving productivity improvement projects across regions in collaboration with RHRs and Retail Leads.

- Manpower analytics and business reporting by preparing weekly and monthly MIS, cost projections, productivity dashboards, and actionable insights.

Incentive and HR Process Governance:

- Design and drive strategic incentive programs by developing competitive, performance-linked incentive plans aligned with business objectives, including special incentive schemes for key business periods such as EOSS, Festive, and other strategic campaigns.

- Ensure accurate incentive administration by validating incentive calculations, overseeing timely processing, and ensuring accurate uploads in PeopleStrong within defined timelines. Manage the end-to-end governance of incentive provisioning, calculations, approvals, and payouts.

- Strengthen HR process governance and compliance by managing NAPS assessments, contract renewals, EY compliance, and license tracking, ensuring timely closure and adherence to internal and regulatory requirements.

Employee Engagement:

- Drive employee engagement initiatives and GPTW across Stores.

- Ensure employee participation, feedback capture, action planning and closure.

- Drive Recognition & Rewards initiatives and support GPTW interventions.

- Identify opportunities to improve employee experience across the Stores.

Employee Relations and Governance:

- Drive governance related to POSH, COC, Whistleblower, Fraud, Theft and Misconduct.

- Ensure appropriate tracking, escalation and closure of cases in line with organizational policies.

- Drive process adherence and manage HR-related escalations across Stores.

Outsourced & Flexi Manpower Governance:

- Drive outsourced and flexi manpower governance by partnering with RHRs and Retail Leads to ensure quality deployment, workforce productivity, and adherence to defined manpower budget.

- Manage outsourced manpower operations by ensuring timely processing and booking of vendor invoices, monitoring manpower deployment against approved budgets, and driving corrective actions for any deviations.

- Strengthen vendor governance and compliance by ensuring vendor compliance levels remain above 90%, optimizing the vendor base, and improving service quality, cost efficiency, and statutory compliance.

HR Reviews & Process Excellence:

- Drive capability building for the Regional HR team by conducting monthly learning sessions on HR processes, policies, systems, and best practices to enhance functional effectiveness and process consistency.

- Monitor HR process adherence and governance through dashboards, scorecards, and periodic reviews, proactively identifying gaps, outliers, and compliance risks across regions.
