Key Responsibilities
- Commercial P&L Ownership: Manage the top-line and profitability for assigned categories, utilizing pricing and visibility levers to drive daily sales targets.
- AOP & Margin Management: Defining & creating the annual operating plan & tracking performance.
- Inventory & Demand Planning: Lead demand forecasting and supply planning (OTB management) to reduce Days on Hand (DOH) and minimize aging stock.
- Trade Strategy: Execute promotional initiatives, flash sales, and seasonal events in alignment with marketplace trends.
- Merchandising Acumen: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine assortment frameworks, integrate new brand launches, and optimize product visibility.
- Data Analytics: Leverage tools such as PowerBI and Excel to conduct trade analysis, identifying business risks and growth opportunities through retail analytics.
The Ideal Profile
- Preferred Category Exposure: Fashion/Apparel
- Education: MBA (Marketing/Operations) from a premier B-school (e.g., IIM) or IIT/NIT Bachelors in Engineering/Technology/Mathematics
- Strong analytics/planning background
- Experience: 4-5 years of experience in E-commerce Category Management or Planning across Fashion, or Lifestyle.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, acting as the bridge between category managers and digital platforms.
- Analytical Mindset: Expert-level knowledge of Excel and PowerBI; a background in engineering or data-heavy roles is a plus.
- Communication: Strong presentation skills with the ability to simplify business complexity for senior leadership.
- Regional Context: Experience in the GCC Market is considered a significant added advantage.
