- Develop basic quality trackers and reporting formats to monitor product defects, vendor performance, customer complaints and recurring issues.

- Introduce regular reviews of key quality concerns and ensure timely escalation of critical issues.

- Gradually introduce simple tools or systems to improve visibility, tracking and reporting as the function and business scale.

Vendor Quality Capability and Mentoring:

- Establish vendor capability assessment and quality maturity frameworks.

- Partner closely with vendor partners to strengthen their technical and quality capabilities. Develop vendor-specific improvement plans based on performance gaps.

- Drive vendor ownership and accountability for product quality rather than dependence on external inspection.

- Establish vendor quality scorecards and regular performance review mechanisms.

- Drive change management.

Establish Garment Technology Standards and Frameworks:

- Develop and standardise technical specifications, fit standards, measurement charts, grading rules, tolerance levels and construction standards.

- Establish category-specific technical manuals, SOPs and product standards.

Team Building and Capability Development:

- Define capability requirements, skill matrices and development plans.

- Build technical and quality capability across internal teams and vendor partners.

- Create shared ownership of quality across Buying, Design, Sourcing and Merchandising.

What you'll need:
