Key Responsibilities:
Category Growth:
- Identify and analyze growth drivers, concern areas, and performance metrics across category, product, store, and seasonal levels.
- Take data-driven decisions to optimize category performance and drive business growth.
Assortment & Pricing Management:
- Define and maintain an assortment strategy that balances product variety, quality, and profitability.
- Work closely with vendors to introduce new products and optimize SKU selection.
- Execute pricing strategies and promotional plans to optimize profitability while considering market dynamics and customer value perception.
Vendor Management:
- Identify and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers to enhance the category's offerings.
- Lead supplier negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions to drive cost savings and strengthen supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and promotional support with suppliers.
- Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards, regulations, and supply chain efficiency.
Promotions & Marketing Collaboration:
- Work with marketing teams to develop category-specific campaigns and promotions.
- Plan and execute seasonal and festival-based promotional strategies to drive category sales.
- Measure and analyze promotion effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
- Collaborate with supply chain and replenishment teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Monitor inventory turnover, shelf-life, and wastage reduction strategies.
- Ensure product availability while minimizing overstock and stockouts.
Data Analytics & Performance Management:
- Track sales performance, margins, and profitability metrics for the category.
- Conduct category performance reviews and provide actionable insights.
- Utilize customer insights and sales data to refine product offerings and promotions.
