SUMMARY  Develop and implement the brand building strategy for the allocated portfolio in line with business objectives including brand mapping, generating consumer understanding, defining and implementing brand positioning, implementing strategic and tactical marketing programs to achieve top-line and bottom-line objectives  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  Brand Building   - Define the strategic road map and prepare brand strategy documents for each of the brands in the portfolio  - Develop a marketing calendar for each brand / concept, in association with the concept teams and oversee effective implementation and monitor performance  - Develop and oversee implementation of advertising and communication strategy for brands   - Develop consumer insights through formal research  - Use consumer insights to develop marketing plans and to develop engagement properties to achieve salience in the relevant market segments for each brand   - Drive digital media to drive brand preference  Activation   - Develop and oversee the implementation of activation calendar that meets both the short term and the long term needs of the portfolio of brands and/or concepts within the company  - Use metrics (footfalls, ticket sizes, category penetration, budgets) to measure the performance of each of the programs with a view to achieve positive returns on marketing investments   - Constantly identify problem categories, brands, stores and develop marketing interventions for course correction   Media Strategy   - Develop and implement an effective, optimized media mix, to leverage the potential of all available mediums in achieving business objectives  - Constantly monitor advertising and marketing expenses, align spends to budgets, generate savings through innovation, partnerships, negotiations, spend consolidation.   - Evaluate media performance for own brands and competition  Alliances   - Develop alliances with trading brands, banking partners, other brands to leverage the potential of partners and deploy partnerships to achieve objectives / enhance business performance  - Align creative agency partner to business objectives and constantly motivate them to achieve desired results.   Store Launches   - Develop effective store launch strategy, implement and monitor performance of new stores  - Oversee implementation to ensure that new stores perform to potential from the day of launch  - Develop, implement and adhere to systems and processes to ensure compliance with statutory / internal audit norms   - Participate in and help implementing company's CSR initiative - Beat Diabetes, including short listing of partners, developing and implementing communication   People management  - Motivate and lead a team of brand/ category managers to align them to common business objectives  Desired Profile  Candidate with 5+ Yrs core Branding Experience with Retail or Product Based Company.  Full Time MBA in Marketing.
