We have an exciting opportunity in the Operations Division for the role of Manager/Sr. Manager Human Resource, based at Pune Plant. You come with a relevant experience of 4 to 7 years. This is a Key and strategic role and will be responsible for end-to-end HR Generalist operations of the Pune manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Attract, select and identify talent, and direct career management and succession plans alongside the HR Head in order to develop the motivation and commitment of talent, to reinforce retention and to ensure optimization of skills within the Group.

- Implement the Performance Appraisal process and individual payroll revisions alongside the HR Head, in particular through verifying the pay scale of each associate, analyzing differences when compared with the market and discussing pay decisions with managers and associates.

- Create conditions for a high-quality social environment, in particular alongside social partners, and strengthen the quality of life in the workplace.

- Consolidate and analyze HR key performance indicators (KPIs) and annual reports for his/her area of activity, according to defined objectives.

- Strengthen and promote L'Oral's image, as well as its diversity, by ensuring respect for the Group's values and code of ethics.

- Planning & conducting employee engagements & development programs; ensuring prompt resolution of employee grievances & maintaining cordial employee relations

- Ensuring healthy employee relations & communications programs to resolve previous labour and management issues and restoring the credibility and employee-centric focus of the HR organization

- Partnering with senior management to develop & implement strategies for employee engagement and mobilize talent

- Driving projects, policies, practices & thereby contributing to employee welfare & organization's business performance

- Developing IR policies & industrial discipline; narrowing down the gap between management & employees.

- Ensuring 100% Legal compliance.

- Participating in annual budget exercise & assisting in finalizing HR budget of business unit

Key Deliverables:

Talent Acquisition:


- Plan and execute the Plant Strategic Hiring requirements in line with Plant Budget HC including Third Party Vendors.

- Connecting with Campus for GET & Interns

- Responsible for Onboarding and orientation of all the new joiners Talent Engagement:

- Drive employee engagement programs through proactive and structured interventions

- Handle grievances and concerns with empathy and bring them to closure

- Keeps a proactive check on the general employee well-being engagement levels and intervene actively when necessary Performance Management:

- Partner with the line managers to address performance gaps and facilitates discussions/processes to assess appropriate action

- Guide Line Managers on all aspects of performance management including feedback and performance coaching

Legal/Process Compliance:

- 100% statutory Compliance

- Ensuring Monthly HR MIS & Reporting.

- Managing HR expense and administration

- Driving HR EHS, initiatives

- Corporate Social Responsibility: To Co-ordinate various activities under CSR project

- Managing HR audits & System compliance

- Networking with Country/Zone HR teams to drive HR agendas in the plant.

Professional Competencies:

- Ability to manage diverse stakeholders

- Strong Business Communication skills with the ability to influence and convince stakeholders by objectively presenting challenging views

- Proficient in handling employee issues with sensitivity, objectivity and empathy

- Team Player with the ability to network collaborate with diverse teams across locations

Key Relationships:

- Reports to: HR Head

- Internal Stakeholders - Pune and Baddi Plant team, Subcon, R&I, supply chain, Country HR team, Global and Zone HR teams

- External Stakeholders - Suppliers, Vendors, Govt Agencies, Contractors, External agencies and consultants.

Education: MBA /PGDM in Human Resources from a reputed Tier 1/2 Institute
