We have a suitable opportunity in the Finance Function for the position of Head - Accounting & Treasury. This role reports to the CFO, L'Oreal India, and demands an individual who is a process expert along with being good at stakeholder management. In this people management role, you will supervise activities for Accounts Payable, Invoice Processing, Factory Accounting and focus on quality, productivity and standards to achieve the business purpose. You should be Chartered Accountant by qualification with 10+ years of experience. The location of the job will be Mumbai. Key Responsibilities: - Drive continuous process improvements to increase the quality and efficiency of accounting services, including the local implementation of the Group/Zone initiatives - Ensure close collaboration with other local teams (Controlling, Plants, Tax, Legal, HR, Purchasing etc.) to facilitate the production of accounts and the implementation of new local or Group/Zone initiative - Check that the Group's accounting procedures and principles are correctly applied to ensure the quality and reliability of the Group's monthly accounts - Carry out consolidation reporting for the Group: quarterly and annual balance sheets for L'Oreal India and L'Oreal Bangladesh. - Guarantee the reliability of accounting and tax information by implementing the Group procedures of control and KPIs adapted to the local context. - Organize the team/activities in order to guarantee continued service and quality of accounting services - Keep continuously informed and understands the evolution of local regulations regarding accounting GAAPs and fiscal regulations and initiate appropriate changes in systems and procedures - Establish and maintain appropriate controls and segregation of duties - Consolidation reporting and end of year local accounts, tax and legal statements etc. Key Competencies: - Maximize Financial Systems and Data Management - Act as Proactive Business Partner - Master Accounting Norms and Internal Control - Ensure efficient flow of financials statements - Ensure the best-in-class accounting services - Effective Communication skills both oral and written - Master of Tax Accounting (Direct and Indirect) Key Relationships: - Internal Interactions - Division Finance Controlling Teams, Corporate Finance Controlling Teams including Credit, Purchase, Legal and Taxation, Operations Team, Marketing Teams, APAC Office and Group Office - External Interactions -Group Auditors, Statutory Auditors and Shared Service Centre Physical Demands (e.g. % travel): - Travel will be need based Education: - Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of experience Pre-requisites: - Knowledge of SAP - Working knowledge of Indirect Tax and Direct Tax L'Oreal is committed to building a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
