- To ensure the timely production of accurate monthly and yearly reporting to key stakeholders including local partners, global head office and other regulatory authorities.
- Perform accounting tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of significant accounting transactions.
- The success of the position is integral to the Finance team in achieving its objectives. The position will also require various ad hoc administrative duties to be performed across the business, at the request of the key stakeholders and necessary to maintain the daily business function.
- The role will report to Group Financial Accounting Manager and work closely with Group/ regional finance teams, LCN/ SSC functional leaders.
Financial-General Ledger
- Responsible for preparing and posting monthly journals (eg accruals, intercompany allocations, recharges, occupancy, etc) and general journals as required
- Maintenance of the fixed assets register and associated capital expenditure reporting - including additions, disposals, depreciation runs and reconciliation to general ledger
- Responsible for processing and reviewing recharges from global offices including processing monthly entries, challenging the information provided and completion of associated reconciliations
External Regulatory Reporting (including ITD):
- Preparation and lodgment of GST
- Preparation and filling of Annual Returns in Form MGT-7 with MCA
- Examine and Preparation of Monthly withholding tax summary
- Prepare & Submit quarterly returns and generate form 16A
Treasury:
- Daily cash management of entity accounts
Payroll:
- Strong knowledge and process end to end payroll processing for Indian employees
- Support compliance with relevant legislation and regulations (eg: EPF, ESI, PT, etc.)
- Assist with year-end processes such as payment summary reconciliations and issue payment summary to staff on timely manner
Other analysis:
- Responsible for preparation and review of professional development, event and entertainment expenditure including liaising with event organisers and Office managers / executive assistants to ensure reporting needs and annual budget requirements are met
- Prepare all necessary reconciliations for year end audit and follow up on all financial accounting related questions from our auditors
- Assist/support our external tax firm with preparation of India tax entries and returns
- Document procedures
- Assist with new ERP / GL implementation and testing as required
- Minimum 5 year experience in accounting or finance related disciplines
- Strong knowledge of Accounting principles, practices and procedures
- Curiosity and interest in performance improvement and project management
- High attention to detail and responsiveness to customer queries
- Undergraduate/PG degree in Finance or Commerce related discipline
