TITLE: Project Head (Infrastructure - Roads, Buildings & Water Works)
LOCATION: Project Site / Regional Office-Bangalore

PURPOSE
To provide strategic leadership and end-to-end execution oversight for large-scale infrastructure projects, including highway construction, high-capacity godowns (FSI optimized), and irrigation canals. The role ensures all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple sites across Roads, Buildings, and Water Canals.
- Technical Supervision: Ensure structural integrity and compliance for FSI-specific godown designs and complex hydraulic structures for canals.
- Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project P&L, manage cash flows, and implement cost- saving measures without compromising quality.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Lead the procurement process and manage specialized contractors for earthworks, civil construction, and MEP.
- Regulatory Compliance: Secure necessary permits and ensure all site activities meet local environmental and governmental regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project bottlenecks (land acquisition, resource shortages) and develop mitigation strategies.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
- Timeline Adherence: Percentage of project milestones met versus the baseline schedule.
- Budget Variance: Maintaining actual project costs within - 5% of the approved budget.
- Quality & Safety: Number of 'Zero-Harm' man-hours and successful clearance of third- party quality audits.
- Resource Efficiency: Optimization of machinery and labor productivity across various project sites.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (NICMAR post-graduation or PMP certification is a strong plus).
Experience: 10-15 years of hardcore experience in infrastructure projects.
Domain Expertise: Proven track record in executing Roads/Highways, Industrial Buildings/Godowns, and Water Resource/Canal projects.
COMPETENCIES
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to manage large, diverse teams of engineers and site supervisors.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of FSI (Floor Space Index) regulations and irrigation engineering.
- Problem Solving: Skilled at resolving site-level technical challenges and local stakeholder issues.
- Financial Acumen: Competence in interpreting project financial reports and managing large-scale procurement.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Main Interaction - Inside the company:
- Design & Planning Team: For blueprint approvals and FSI optimization.
- Procurement/Supply Chain: For material mobilization and heavy machinery leasing.
- Finance Department: For billing, contractor payments, and budget reviews.
Main Interaction - Outside the company:
- Government Authorities: (NHAI, PWD, Irrigation Department) for approvals and inspections.
- Consultants: For technical audits and structural vetting.
- Local Communities: To manage right-of-way issues and site security.
- Languages English, Hindi, (Kannada & Telugu-Mandatory)
