Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Unit Finance Controller to oversee financial operations at our manufacturing unit in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have 45 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, compliance, and cost control. This role involves close coordination with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure financial health, operational efficiency, and audit readiness.


Key Responsibilities:


Budgeting & Forecasting:


- Monitor Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and unit-level budgets.

- Prepare monthly forecasts and perform variance analysis.

- Track capital expenditure and support project financial planning.

Cash Flow & Financial Health:


- Maintain daily cash flow reports and ensure adequate liquidity and healthy bank balances.

- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across functions.

Costing & Reconciliation:


- Maintain costing records and execute periodic reconciliations.

- Review job work costing, material consumption, and wastage control.

Audit & Compliance:


- Coordinate internal, statutory, and cost audits; ensure timely resolution of audit queries.

- Conduct periodic stock audits and fixed asset verifications.

- Ensure timely GST filing, reconciliation, and compliance with applicable tax laws.

ERP & Reporting:


- Utilize ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally) for accurate financial data management and reporting.

- Generate and analyze MIS reports to provide actionable insights for unit performance.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:


- Liaise with sales, operations, and procurement teams to support revenue goals and margin improvement.

- Build effective relationships with internal departments, job workers, vendors, and auditors.


Required Qualifications & Skills:


- Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field (MBA Finance preferred).

- 4-5 years of experience in plant/unit-level finance roles.

- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.

- Strong understanding of cost accounting, taxation (especially GST), and financial controls.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Experience in manufacturing or industrial setups preferred.
