Description: The Plant HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless implementation of HR policies, statutory compliance, employee relations, and workforce management at the plant.

The role serves as a key link between corporate HR and plant operations, ensuring adherence to legal, organizational, and ethical standards while supporting operational excellence.

KEY Position Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Compliance & Industrial Relations:

- Ensure full compliance with labour laws and regulations (wages, safety, factory laws, and employment regulations for blueand white-collar employees).

- Function as managements representative with statutory authorities, including the Labour Commissioner and other government officials, to maintain harmonious relations and ensure smooth factory operations.

- Drive compliance audits and certifications ensuring adherence to prescribed standards.

- Ensure statutory compliance related to PF, ESI, Gratuity, Professional Tax, Income Tax, etc.

Payroll & HR Operations:

- Oversee plant-level payroll processing, maintain records, and ensure timely submission to the corporate HR team.

- Maintain accurate HR records (personnel files, attendance, leave, etc.

- Ensure timely renewal of all contracts, annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), insurance policies, and agreements.

Performance Management System (PMS):

- Implement and administer the Plant-level Performance Management System in alignment with corporate frameworks.

- Facilitate goal setting, KPI/KRA alignment, performance reviews for all employees.

- Partner with HODs and managers to ensure performance objectives are clearly defined, monitored, and assessed.

- Support identification of high performers, development needs, and succession planning.

- Drive consistency, fairness, and transparency in performance evaluations to reinforce a merit-based culture.

Policy Implementation & Performance Management:

- Implement HR policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company objectives and cost efficiency.

- Facilitate Goal setting, performance management systems (PMS), and Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) in line with HOD/management objectives.

- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, processes, and best practices.

Recruitment & Capability Development:

- Manage recruitment and selection processes for blue-collar and support roles, including sourcing, screening, and hiring.

- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, engagement, and productivity.

- Drive initiatives for employee capability building, culture alignment, and retention.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

- Address employee grievances, resolve conflicts, and maintain industrial harmony.

- Organize health and wellness programs, in collaboration with doctors and hospitals, to promote employee well-being.

- Partner with functional leaders to foster a safe, compliant, and engaged workforce.

Safety, Security & Environment (EHS):

- Ensure implementation of Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) practices across the plant.

- Conduct periodic security and emergency mock drills in collaboration with HSSE teams and security service providers.

- Ensure plant hygiene and workplace safety standards are strictly maintained.

Digitalization & Process Improvement:

- Drive HR automation initiatives and introduce innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

People Leadership:

- Mentor and supervise HR staff at the plant, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

- Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Sales & Marketing, Government Agencies, and Audit Bodies.

- Team management skills.

- To attract, hire, lead and engage the Team and ensure effective management and achievement of business targets.

- Should be able to train, coach, and guide the team in developing the right knowledge, skills, and customer orientation.

- To assertively drive and ensure that the team is completely aligned on process discipline and meeting targeted milestones.

- Drive discipline in the team through regular review and feedback mechanisms and a complete grasp over data analytics / MIS for performance measurement.

- Have a zero-tolerance attitude towards lapses in integrity, compliances, internal governance standards and Company ethics.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualification:

- Essential: Graduate (BE/B.Com/BMS/BBA).

- Preferred: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources.

Experience:

- 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in Plant HR (Blue & White-collar workforce).

KEY Skills and Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of HR/IR issues, statutory compliance, audits, and payroll management.

- Proficiency in HR software applications (preferred).

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse functions and teams.
