Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and creative Social Media Specialist to support the day-to-day management of our brands presence across key digital platforms. In this role, you will help execute content plans, engage with our online community, and ensure consistent communication across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and WhatsApp. You will play a key part in amplifying our crop insurance offerings by creating relevant, timely, and engaging content tailored to rural and agricultural audiences. This position requires attention to detail, a good sense of storytelling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, campaign-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Post content as per the social media calendar and ensure timely updates across platforms
- Assist in creating platform-specific content including posts, stories, short videos, and reels
- Monitor social channels for audience interactions and respond to comments, messages, and queries
- Collaborate with design and video teams to develop creatives, animations, and short-form videos
- Track basic performance metrics such as likes, shares, comments, reach, and follower growth
- Support in running contests, surveys, and engagement campaigns to boost participation
- Research trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to keep content relevant and engaging
- Maintain brand voice and consistency across all channels
- Provide weekly summaries of activities, engagement highlights, and key learnings
Requirements
- 23 years of experience in social media execution, preferably in Agri Tech, BFSI, or rural marketing
- Bachelors degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp Business
- Basic knowledge of tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, and Google Sheets
- Ability to work with vernacular content or coordinate with regional content creators
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized with a creative mindset
