About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Claims to lead end-to-end claims operations across multiple insurance verticals. The role will be responsible for driving claims excellence, customer experience, fraud management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation while ensuring effective claims cost management and business profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead claims operations across multiple lines of business including:

- Health Insurance

- Motor Insurance

- Crop Insurance

- Property & Engineering Insurance

- Marine Insurance

- Liability & Specialty Insurance

- Group & Corporate Insurance

- Oversee the complete claims lifecycle from FNOL to settlement and closure.

- Drive customer-centric claims servicing and improve settlement turnaround times.

- Establish robust claims governance, risk management, and fraud control frameworks.

- Manage large loss, catastrophe, and high-severity claims.

- Lead claims analytics, reserve management, and cost optimization initiatives.

- Develop strong partnerships with TPAs, surveyors, investigators, hospitals, legal firms, and other service providers.

- Drive digitization, automation, AI-led claims processing, and operational excellence programs.

- Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, risk, finance, and business teams to improve portfolio performance.

- Lead and mentor high-performing claims teams across geographies.

Desired Profile:

- 20+ years of experience in insurance claims management.

- Proven leadership experience managing multi-vertical claims portfolios.

- Strong exposure to Health, Motor, Crop, Property, Marine, Liability, and Corporate Claims.

- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, claims reserving, fraud management, and litigation handling.

- Experience in digital claims transformation and process automation.

- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Graduate in Insurance, Finance, Commerce, Law, Engineering, or related field.

- MBA/PGDM preferred.

- Professional certifications such as AIII/FIII, CII, CPCU, ANZIIF, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
