Manager - Strategic Initiatives

Experience: 3-4 years (preferably in financial services or high growth startup)

Education: MBA from IIM A/B/C/L or ISB

About the Role:

We are looking for a high-energy, first-principles problem solver to drive 0 to1 strategic initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and cross-functional leadership. You will work with senior management to identify, build, and scale new business lines, products, and capabilities from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

1. New Product Design and scale up:

- Identify high-impact product opportunities in the fintech space

- Conduct market assessments, competitive benchmarking, and customer insights to shape new product initiatives.

- Build business cases, financial models, feasibility analyses, and go-to-market plans.

2. 0- 1 Business Scale up:

- Convert ambiguous product ideas into structured programs with clear milestones, owners, and success metrics.

- Lead cross-functional squads (product, credit, risk, analytics, tech, operations, legal) to drive execution.

- Track and govern project progress, proactively solve blockers, and ensure accountability.

3. Stakeholder Management:

- Work closely with founders, CXOs, and functional heads to align on strategy and execution.

- Drive clear communication through program reviews, dashboards, and structured updates.

- Manage external partners fintechs, NBFCs, banks, data providers as needed.

4. Execution Excellence:

- Break down complex new product initiatives into actionable workstreams.

- Drive rapid experimentation, MVP launches, pilot evaluations, and scale-up charters.

- Build SOPs, process flows, and operational frameworks to institutionalize new capabilities needed for product launch and scale up.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong first-principles thinking and structured problem solving.

- Exceptional analytical skills; proficiency in Excel/Sheets and comfort with data-driven decision-making.

- Excellent communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

- Bias for action, ownership mindset, and comfort with ambiguity.

- Ability to juggle multiple high-stakes tasks and drive outcomes under tight timelines.

Preferred Background:

- 3-4 years of experience in a dynamic environment preferably in financial services or high growth startup

- Proven experience in driving cross-functional initiatives; exposure to fintech/financial services is a plus.

- MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, or ISB.

- Demonstrated track record in scaling 0- 1 or 1- 10 initiatives.
