Role Summary:
We are looking for a General Manager - Business Product to own and scale the Two Wheeler Loans product line end-to-end. This is a business-outcomes-owning role: the person will define the product and underwriting strategy, own the P&L and portfolio quality for the segment, and work closely with Risk, Credit, Technology, Dealer/Channel Sales, Collections and Compliance to build a best-in-class, digitally-led two-wheeler lending business - spanning both ICE and EV two-wheelers.
Key Responsibilities:
Business & Product Strategy:
- Own the end-to-end business strategy, growth roadmap and P&L for the Two Wheeler Loans product line, including disbursal volume, yield, cost of acquisition and portfolio profitability.
- Define target customer segments, ticket sizes, tenures and pricing across new/used two-wheelers and the ICE/EV mix, informed by market and competitive benchmarking.
- Identify and prioritize new product variants (e.g., EV-specific financing, co-branded OEM/dealer programs, top-up and refinance products) to expand addressable market.
Product & Process Ownership:
- Design and continuously improve the digital loan journey - application, KYC, underwriting, disbursal and post-disbursal servicing - to maximize conversion and minimize turnaround time.
- Partner with Technology and Data Science teams to build/enhance credit policy, scorecards, automated decisioning rules and fraud checks specific to two-wheeler lending.
- Own product documentation, policy notes and process manuals; ensure the product is compliant with RBI/NBFC regulatory and audit requirements.
Channel, Risk & Portfolio Management:
- Work with Sales/Channel teams to build and manage dealer, OEM and DSA partnerships that drive sourcing volumes across geographies, with a focus on Tier-2/3 and rural markets.
- Partner with Risk and Collections to monitor portfolio health (delinquency, NPA, roll rates) and take corrective action on policy, pricing or channel mix as needed.
- Track unit economics rigorously and report business performance, risks and opportunities to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
Cross-functional Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts; build a strong execution culture across the product lifecycle.
- Act as the primary point of coordination across Risk, Credit, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Finance and external partners (OEMs, dealers, insurers, valuation agencies) for all things related to two-wheeler loans.
Requirements:
Experience & Qualifications:
- 8 - 12 years of overall experience in lending / BFSI / fintech, with meaningful exposure to vehicle finance, two-wheeler loans, or secured retail lending products.
- Mandatory Proven track record of owning a lending product P&L - volume, yield, cost and portfolio quality - in a bank, NBFC, or fintech lender.
- Experience working with dealer/OEM/DSA sourcing channels and an understanding of the two-wheeler ecosystem (new/used vehicles, EV financing) is strongly preferred.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification from a reputed institute preferred; engineering or finance background is a plus.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen - comfortable working with underwriting policy, unit economics, and portfolio risk metrics.
- Hands-on product management skills - ability to translate business goals into product requirements and work closely with Technology/Data Science teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage cross-functional relationships (Risk, Credit, Compliance, Sales, Collections) and external partners (OEMs/dealers).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership and represent the business externally.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech environment.
What We Offer:
- The opportunity to build and scale a high-growth secured lending product from an early stage, with significant ownership and visibility.
- A seat at the table in one of India's leading digital lending platforms, working alongside experienced leaders across product, risk and technology.
- Competitive compensation, performance-linked incentives, and a fast-track growth path within the organization.
