Role Overview :

The Import Export Head will serve as the strategic lead for the companys global trade operations, overseeing the end-to-end movement of raw materials and finished goods. This role involves navigating complex regulatory landscapes, managing international logistics partners, and optimizing supply chain costs to ensure seamless manufacturing continuity. Working closely with procurement, production, and finance teams, the incumbent will drive efficiency in cross-border trade, mitigate geopolitical and logistical risks, and ensure full compliance with international trade laws to support the companys expansion goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Direct the entire lifecycle of import and export operations, ensuring timely procurement of raw materials and efficient distribution of finished products to global markets.

- Negotiate contracts with international freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics service providers to optimize freight costs and transit times.

- Manage complex documentation, including customs clearance, letters of credit, and trade compliance filings, to prevent operational bottlenecks and regulatory penalties.

- Develop and implement robust supply chain strategies that align with manufacturing schedules, ensuring zero downtime due to material shortages.

- Monitor global trade policies, tariffs, and duty structures to provide actionable insights that protect the companys profit margins.

- Lead and mentor the logistics and documentation teams, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and high-performance execution.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale international trade operations, including deep knowledge of EXIM policies, customs regulations, and international shipping incoterms.

- Proven ability to build and maintain high-level relationships with global vendors, government authorities, and logistics partners.

- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret market trends, manage complex supply chain data, and execute cost-saving initiatives.

- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across the organization.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, essential for handling high-stakes international contracts and resolving logistical disputes.

- A minimum of 20 to 30 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector, with a track record of handling high-volume import/export operations.

- A degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field, complemented by a professional, on-site presence at our Delhi NCR location.
