About the Digital Government Advisory Team

KPMG India's Digital Government Advisory (DGA) practice helps government bodies modernize public services through technology. It offers strategic consulting, digital architecture, and sector-specific solutions across areas like transport, water, justice, and finance. The team enables large-scale e-Governance, data analytics, and automation to improve efficiency and citizen experience.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee and manage large-scale government projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure successful delivery of complex IT initiatives. This role requires strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage end-to-end execution of government IT projects.

- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with client requirements.

- Ensure compliance with government standards, policies, and security protocols.

- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.

- Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.

- Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and present updates to senior management.

- Drive process improvements and ensure adherence to quality standards.

- Mentor and guide team members to achieve project goals effectively.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Qualification:

- B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering + MBA/PGDM from a recognized institution.

Experience:

- Minimum 15+ years of overall experience in IT project management.

- At least 5+ years of experience in handling government projects.

- Gujarat Government experience (preferred)

Certifications (Mandatory):

- PMP Certification / SCRUM Master / CPM.

Preferred Skills:

- Strong understanding of government processes and compliance requirements.

- Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, etc.).

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
