Job Title: Project Finance Service Line: Government & Public Sector Sub-service line: IIDA Location: Kanpur, on-site, no work from home Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated professional with a strong background in financial management and economic policy to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in drafting and implementing government policies, regulatory frameworks, and project financials at the state or central level. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the drafting, review, and implementation of policies, rules, and regulations in alignment with state and central government mandates. - Conduct comprehensive project appraisals, including financial feasibility, risk analysis, and cost-benefit assessments. - Prepare detailed project costing and budgeting reports for new and ongoing initiatives. - Liaise with government departments, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment with policy objectives. - Provide strategic inputs on economic and financial matters to support decision-making. - Monitor and evaluate the impact of implemented policies and suggest improvements. - Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and policy briefs for internal and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications & Skills: - Master's degree in Financial Management, Economics, or a related discipline. - Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a government or public policy environment. - Strong understanding of government functioning, regulatory frameworks, and public finance. - Demonstrated experience in policy drafting, project appraisal, and financial analysis. - Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite and financial modeling tools.
