Role Overview:


KPMG India is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planning and Policy expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and implementing state/central government policies, rules, and regulatory-related tasks, project appraisals, and project costing.


Key Responsibilities:


- Project Finance: Structure and manage the financing for large infrastructure projects, including debt and equity funding.


- Government Project Finance: Focus on financing and managing infrastructure projects undertaken by government entities.


- Credit Appraisal: Evaluate the creditworthiness of infrastructure projects and their sponsors, ensuring the financial viability of the project and the borrower.


- Risk Assessment: Identify and analyze the risks associated with infrastructure projects, such as construction delays, operational risks, and regulatory risks.


- Financial Modeling: Develop and analyze financial models to assess the financial feasibility of infrastructure projects, including cash flow forecasting and debt capacity analysis.


- Project Advisory: Provide financial advice to governments, project developers, and investors on the financing and structuring of infrastructure projects.


- Fund Raising: Secure funding for infrastructure projects through various sources, such as debt, equity, and government grants.


Qualifications and Experience:


- Postgraduate (Master's in Finance or Economics) with at least 7 years of professional experience.


- Experience in drafting and implementing state/central government policies, rules, and regulatory-related tasks, project appraisals, and project costing.
