ADS Practice Overview KPMG India's Aerospace, Defence & Space (ADS) practice supports key stakeholders including the Ministry of Defence, defence corridors, and leading OEMs. Our team comprises domain experts, ex-armed forces personnel, and industry specialists, delivering strategic, operational, and regulatory advisory across the defence ecosystem. Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Aerospace, Defence, and Space practice within the G&PS service line. The candidate will support licensing, regulatory workflows, and public policy implementation, ensuring compliance with national and international standards. This role involves coordination with government bodies, ports, and customs authorities. Key Responsibilities - Manage and streamline regulatory workflows related to aerospace and defence licensing. - Draft, review, and maintain license formats and documentation in accordance with applicable laws and policies. - Support public policy implementation efforts in collaboration with government stakeholders. - Coordinate with port and customs authorities for regulatory clearances and compliance. - Monitor and interpret changes in regulatory frameworks, advising internal teams and clients accordingly. - Liaise with ministries, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders to ensure smooth policy execution. - Prepare reports, presentations, and policy briefs for internal and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications - Education: Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Law (LLB/LLM)/Public Administration/Maritime Studies/Transport Policy or related disciplines - Experience: 5-8 years in licensing, regulatory affairs, public policy, or government coordination roles. - Strong understanding of aerospace, defence, and space sector regulations. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills. Preferred Skills - Experience working with government agencies or public sector undertakings. - Familiarity with international licensing standards and export control regulations. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, policy-driven environment. - Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
