About the Digital Government Advisory Team:
KPMG Indias Digital Government Advisory (DGA) practice helps government bodies modernize public services through technology. It offers strategic consulting, digital architecture, and sector-specific solutions across areas like transport, water, justice, and finance. The team enables large-scale e-Governance, data analytics, and automation to improve efficiency and citizen experience.
About the Public Financial Management System Team:
KPMG India strengthens Public Financial Management (PFM) through fiscal analysis, digital governance, and advisory support, focusing on reforms such as fiscal consolidation, capitaloriented expenditure, transparent budgeting, and improved fiscal federalism. Through its Digital Government Advisory (DGA) practice, it supports governments in enhancing budgeting, treasury operations, expenditure tracking, revenue management, and financial governance within the PFMS ecosystem. KPMG also leverages AI and digital tools for realtime monitoring, anomaly detection, smarter planning, and stronger accountability in public finance systems.
About the Role:
The IT System Technical Expert will lead the technical assessment, customization, and implementation of the Audit Management System (AMS) and Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAAT) tools. The role ensures the systems meet technical requirements, align with organizational needs, and are successfully rolled out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical assessments of AMS and CAAT tools.
- Provide technical inputs for Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
- Prepare technical comparative analyses of AMS options.
- Contribute to technical customization plans for AMS and CAAT solutions.
- Support technical aspects of AMS and CAAT tool rollout.
- Ensure systems meet performance, security, integration, and reliability standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Professional IT qualification
- Bachelors degree in an ITrelated field with an internationally recognized IT certification.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of postqualification experience in technical assessment and information system development.
- Experience in at least one project involving AMS or CAAT tool development and rollout (public or private sector).
- Technical experience in system evaluation, integration, and customization.
Required Certifications:
- Internationally recognized professional IT certification (e.g., CISA, CISM, COBIT, ITIL, CEH, or equivalent)
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of AMS architecture and CAAT technical frameworks.
- Knowledge of system integration, data structures, and IT security standards.
- Familiarity with publicsector digital audit requirements.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical analysis and system assessment capabilities.
- Ability to develop and review technical documentation and specifications.
- Proficiency in system customization, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborative mindset for working with functional, technical, and vendor teams.
