About the Digital Government Advisory Team
KPMG India's Digital Government Advisory (DGA) practice helps government bodies modernize public services through technology. It offers strategic consulting, digital architecture, and sector-specific solutions across areas like transport, water, justice, and finance. The team enables large-scale e-Governance, data analytics, and automation to improve efficiency and citizen experience.
About the Role
We are seeking an IT Expert to join our team in Odisha. This role involves analyzing large and complex datasets, performing network and IP-related investigations, and supporting IT infrastructure maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in data processing, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets using tools such as MS Excel and other analytics platforms.
- Conduct linkage analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and correlations.
- Perform IP tracing and related network analysis to support investigations.
- Process and analyze unstructured data (audio/video) manually and using specialized tools.
- Execute data scraping and web crawling for information extraction.
- Provide basic maintenance and troubleshooting for IT systems.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Electronics & Telecommunication, Data Science, or related fields OR MCA.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in network security, system analysis, data analysis, or IT infrastructure, preferably in a government setup.
- Strong proficiency in data analytics and advanced MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Bi-lingual proficiency: English and working knowledge of Bengali/Odiya/Assamese is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CISSP, CompTIA Data+, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, or IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and data privacy regulations.
- Experience with scripting for data scraping and automation.
Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Skills: Data Analysis, Network Security, IP Tracing, Web Scraping, IT System Maintenance.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights from structured and unstructured data.
- Communication Skills: Clear reporting and documentation; bilingual capability is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data handling and analysis.
