Position: Associate Director - Social & Rural Development
Location: Delhi/NCR, India
KPMG India is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join its Social and Rural Development practice as an Associate Director. This leadership role is pivotal in driving strategic initiatives aligned with India's development agenda, focusing on inclusive growth across sectors such as Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Employment, Women & Child Welfare, Housing, Financial & Social Inclusion, Livelihoods, and Social Protection.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Delivery:
Lead multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver high-impact advisory solutions for government and development sector clients. Ensure alignment with national priorities and global best practices.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
Build and sustain senior-level client relationships across ministries, donor agencies, and multilateral organizations. Serve as a trusted advisor, shaping policy and programmatic interventions.
Solution Design & Thought Leadership:
Drive innovation in service offerings including policy formulation, institutional strengthening, outcome-based budgeting, monitoring & evaluation, and change management. Contribute to thought leadership through white papers, publications, and speaking engagements.
Business Development & Practice Growth:
Lead proposal development, commercial bids, and strategic partnerships to expand the firm's footprint in the social sector. Identify emerging opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies.
Team Development & Mentorship:
Mentor and guide project managers and consultants, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Qualifications & Experience:
10+ years of experience in social sector consulting, public policy, or development advisory, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects.
Postgraduate degree (MBA/PGDM, Masters in Social Sciences/Economics/Public Policy) from a reputed institution.
Strong understanding of government systems, stakeholder dynamics, and development sector frameworks.
Exceptional communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel across India for project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
