Role Summary

The Deputy General Manager HR will lead and manage core HR functions, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a high-performance culture. This strategic role involves overseeing HR operations, policy development, employee engagement, compliance, and talent management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

- Partner with senior management to align HR strategies with business objectives.

- Drive organizational change initiatives and culture-building programs.

- Lead workforce planning and succession planning efforts.

HR Operations & Policy Management

- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in line with legal and industry standards.

- Oversee payroll, attendance, and HRIS systems for accuracy and efficiency.

- Ensure smooth execution of HR processes, including onboarding, exit formalities, and documentation.

Employee Relations & Engagement

- Foster a positive work environment through effective grievance redressal and conflict resolution.

- Design and implement employee engagement programs and feedback mechanisms.

- Conduct regular employee satisfaction surveys and action planning.

Compliance & Legal

- Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and internal audit standards.

- Liaise with legal advisors and government bodies for HR-related matters.

Talent Acquisition & Development

- Oversee recruitment strategies to attract top talent, especially for technical and field roles.

- Collaborate with department heads for manpower planning and hiring.

- Drive learning & development initiatives, including training programs and performance reviews.

Compensation & Benefits

- Manage compensation structures, incentive plans, and employee benefits.

- Benchmark salaries and benefits with industry standards to maintain competitiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

- 10 - 15 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, agriculture, or water management sectors.

- Proven experience in policy formulation, employee relations, and compliance.

- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

- Proficiency in HRMS tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience in the agricultural or irrigation industry is a strong advantage.

Qualifications

- Human Resources (HR) and HR Management skills

- Experience in developing and implementing HR Policies

- Knowledge of Employee Benefits and Personnel Management

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work on-site in Solapur

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

- Experience in the agricultural industry is a plus
