Job Description:
We are seeking a Software Product Manager - SME with extensive background in designing and delivering enterprise and/or internet-scale tools within the financial services space. This candidate must possess a blend of technical proficiency and prior experience in lending space.
Domain expertise: on top of foundational software product management experience, the ideal candidate will have extensive domain expertise in Loan & Lending applications.
Your role will be crucial in devising innovative solutions that address the intricate demands of the dynamic financial services landscape while significantly improving the day-to-day operations for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop a comprehensive product strategy that encompasses market needs, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements. Define the vision and roadmap for enterprise and employee-facing tools.
- Market Analysis: Perform in-depth market research and analysis to understand the competitive landscape, banking & fintech industry trends, and customer needs. Identify gaps and opportunities for innovation.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch, evaluation, and iteration. Ensure the product aligns with the business goals and delivers value to end-users.
- Feature Development: Work closely with stakeholders to define and prioritize features. Create detailed requirements and user stories that align with the overall product strategy.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, QA, and business units, to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. Facilitate communication and collaboration among teams.
- Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform future development decisions. Regularly report on product performance and strategic adjustments.
- User Experience: Champion a superior user experience, ensuring the tools are intuitive, efficient, and tailored to the unique needs of banking & fintech employees.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all products meet the stringent regulatory, compliance, and security requirements specific to the banking industry.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders, including senior management, end-users, and IT teams. Gather and incorporate feedback to continuously improve the product.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5-9 years of professional experience in software product management, with a focus on enterprise and/or internet-scale tools.
- Demonstrated success in developing and launching impactful software products.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Technical background with an understanding of software development practices and web technologies.
- Prior experience with digital transformation initiatives in broking or financial services.
- Prior experience in products for Lending offering
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., RBI)
