Kotak Mahindra Bank - Relationship Manager - Private Equity

We are looking for detailed oriented individual to join us in the BFIG Team who will be managing the following key responsibilities:

- Originate new business from Indian and international private equity and real estate funds to drive strong fee income (FX, Custody, Escrow, CMS), maintain sustainable high current account balances, and support in sourcing PE-related financing opportunities.

- Manage and strengthen relationships with the Bank's existing private equity, real estate fund clients, and financial consultancy clients, with a focus on deepening engagement and enhancing business opportunities.

- Handle end- to- end internal coordination for transactions and ongoing account management by collaborating closely with multiple internal teams, including Credit, CAD, Treasury, Custody, Escrow, CMS, and other operational departments.

- A strong and comprehensive understanding of the financial services sector-with specific, hands- on experience in private equity banking and the FDI custody segment-will be highly preferred. Candidates should possess a deep appreciation of the regulatory framework, operational workflows, and industry best practices relevant to these domains.

- A robust sales orientation with persistence, resilience, and a strategic approach to penetrating and converting long- standing or "sticky" business relationships is essential. The role requires the ability to identify opportunities, build trust with key stakeholders, and drive business acquisition in a highly competitive environment.

- Strong domain expertise across asset services, foreign exchange, trade finance, and cash management solutions is critical. The candidate should be capable of engaging clients with confidence, providing consultative insights, and structuring comprehensive solutions that align with their investment, transactional, and treasury needs.

Eligibility criteria:

- MBA/CA candidates preferred

- 6 to10 years of work experience required in banking industry

- Ability to work collaboratively across departments

- Strong foundational understanding of broader financial sector, with specific experience in private equity banking and the FDI custody segment will be considered highly desirable
