Key Responsibilities :
- Independently conduct and manage investigation cases into allegations of bribery and corruption / lapses of varying nature and complexity.
- Review of staff accountability for reported fraud cases.
- Review of existing process / rules / procedures with a view to identify control weakness / eliminate or minimise the scope for corruption / malpractices; identify the sensitive / corruption prone spots.
- Review of Red Flagged Account (RFA) of borrower to ascertain existence of weakness or wrongdoing of fraudulent nature, if any.
- Data extraction / compilation and analysis of transactions to recognize and interpret unusual patterns using excel or other applications.
- Formulation and implementation of work plans, service procedures and projects.
- Collection and collation of evidence, preparation of reports.
- Maintain adequate record of Investigation as per internal standards.
Experience & Educational Requirements :
- 4 - 8 years of experience in Vigilance, Internal Audit, RCU, Fraud Control, Risk or related banking functions.
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Management.
- Preferred certifications : CA, CFE, CIA.
Skills & Competencies :
- Strong business understanding of banking operations, risks, and controls.
- Exposure to credit underwriting / credit audits for working capital / term loan / non-fund-based products.
- Fair knowledge of CORE banking applications / MS office.
- Strong analytical mindset, detail oriented with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- High ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Effective communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in high pressure situations and manage time sensitive investigations.
