SME - Credit - Credit Analyst (2-7 yrs)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our SME Credit team at Surat. The role involves appraisal and underwriting of SME credit proposals with ticket sizes ranging from Rs.10 Crore to Rs.200 Crore, ensuring sound risk assessment and adherence to internal credit policies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive credit appraisal of SME loan proposals including working capital and term loans.

- Analyse financial statements, CMA data, projections, and cash flows.

- Evaluate borrower creditworthiness, industry trends, business model, and risk factors.

- Carry out banking behaviour analysis through account statements and credit bureau reports.

- Prepare detailed credit notes / appraisal memos for internal approval.

- Assess collateral valuation, security structure, and risk mitigants.

- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, RBI guidelines, and underwriting standards.

- Coordinate with relationship managers for credit processing.

- Monitor portfolio accounts and track early warning signals (EWS).

Eligibility Criteria:

- Minimum 1+ year of experience in Working Capital / Credit Analysis in a bank or financial institution.

- Strong understanding of SME lending, working capital assessment, and financial analysis.

- Familiarity with credit risk frameworks and documentation processes.

Educational Qualification:

- CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA / ICWA / Commerce Graduate (with relevant experience).

Experience Range - 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in banking/financial services (SME / Corporate Credit preferred).
