Role Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Kotak Infrastructure Debt Fund Ltd is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization. This position involves strategic financial planning, risk management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing insightful financial analysis to support key business decisions. The CFO works closely with the executive leadership team, various department heads, and external stakeholders to drive financial performance and sustainable growth for the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the bank's financial strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives to maximize shareholder value.
- Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the bank's treasury functions, including liquidity management, investment strategies, and capital allocation, to optimize financial resources.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, providing insightful financial forecasts and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Direct the internal audit function, ensuring effective risk management and internal controls across the organization to safeguard assets and maintain operational efficiency.
- Oversee taxation and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations to mitigate financial and legal risks.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance and accounts teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement to enhance team performance.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and investors, ensuring effective communication and transparency to maintain stakeholder confidence.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, treasury management, audit, taxation, and compliance within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and accounting standards applicable to the banking industry.
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations to senior management.
- Minimum of 9-12 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.
