Kotak Mahindra Bank - Area Manager - GTS Trade

Key Deliverables :

- Lead and manage Trade Sales for Transaction Banking products (Trade Finance & Supply Chain) across assigned geography/segment.

- Act as a Relationship Manager for GTS Trade products, engaging with wholesale banking clients to drive acquisition and deepen existing relationships.

- Own and deliver P&L targets for Trade products, including revenue growth, profitability, and balance sheet optimization.

- Drive key product metrics such as trade assets (funded & non-funded), fee income, LC/BG volumes, and cross-border transaction throughput.

- Manage and mentor a team of Trade Sales Managers to achieve business targets and enhance productivity.

- Collaborate with Coverage, Credit Risk, Operations, and Product teams for deal structuring, approvals, and execution.

- Ensure optimal utilization of limits and drive allocation of adequate exposure for Trade business.

- Promote cross-sell of Transaction Banking solutions including liabilities, forex, and cash management.

- Ensure high standards of client experience and service delivery.

- Stay updated on regulatory frameworks including RBI guidelines, FEMA, UCPDC, URR, URC, and ISBP, ensuring compliance in all transactions.

- Monitor market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to grow Trade business across segments.

Job Skills :

- Strong understanding of Trade Finance products and market dynamics

- Expertise in regulatory frameworks (RBI, FEMA, UCPDC, ISBP, etc.)

- Leadership and team management capabilities

- Client relationship and stakeholder management

- Sales orientation with P&L ownership mindset

- Knowledge of liability products and cross-sell strategies

- Strong operational and risk awareness

Qualification and Experience :

- MBA / CA / Postgraduate in Finance or related field

- 12 - 15 years of experience in Trade Finance / Transaction Banking

- Proven experience in sales, relationship management, and team handling
