Job Summary:

As a Technical Project Manager at Koantek, you will bring hands-on technical expertise to manage cloud data engagements end-to-end. You will be responsible for ensuring that proposed solutions are built to spec, delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with scope. This role requires strong leadership, adaptability, and clear communication to guide stakeholders and technical teams through complex project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Planning & Governance: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Build detailed project plans (tasks, timelines, resource allocation) and establish clear governance for status reporting and risk management.

- Top-Down Execution: Oversee projects through their full lifecycle, tracking performance against metrics including scope, budget, timeline, effort, and cost.

- Team Leadership & Delegation: Assemble, lead, and structure cross-functional teams (data engineers, data scientists, etc.). Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and foster strong team communication.

- Technical Collaboration: Partner closely with technical teams to design and deploy scalable cloud architectures that satisfy project goals.

- Risk & Quality Management: Proactively identify deviations, develop risk mitigation strategies, and establish quality assurance processes through regular audits.

- Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain precise project documentation, foster knowledge sharing across the organization, and stay up-to-date with emerging cloud computing trends.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Overall Experience: 7 - 12 years of IT delivery experience, with strong hands-on stakeholder management skills.

- Cloud Data Expertise: At least 2 years directly managing cloud data engagements (e.g., data migrations, data lakes/warehouses, data engineering, or data science projects).

- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with the modern cloud data stack (Databricks, Spark, Python, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).

- Methodologies & Tools: Practical experience using PM tools (Jira, Trello, Zoho Projects, Redmine) and driving Agile engineering best practices.

- Strategic Oversight: Proven track record in strategic planning, change management, and risk mitigation.
