Knya - Senior Operations Manager - D2C

Knya.7 - 12 yrs.Mumbai

About Knya:

Knya is a funded, fast-growing D2C brand redefining healthcare apparel for modern professionals, backed by DSG Consumer Partners. We combine functionality, comfort, and aesthetics to serve a community that deserves more from their workwear. Our culture values ownership, experimentation, speed, and customer obsession.

What Are You Entering Into:

Knya is one of India's fastest-growing healthcare apparel brands and we're just getting started. When you join us, you're not filling a seat. You're stepping into a company that is actively being built, where the work you do today shapes what Knya looks like tomorrow. We're a team of driven people who care deeply about what we're building, move with purpose, and back each other to grow. If you're looking for a place where your contribution is visible, your growth is real, and your work actually matters to the people who wear what we make, this is it.

Role Overview:

This is the senior-most Operations seat on the ground at Knya. You'll own the engine that gets product from our vendors to our customers: supply chain, warehousing, fulfilment, logistics and inventory, across D2C, Retail, Marketplace and B2B. You'll set the operating standards, own the cost lines that sit under them, and build the team and systems that let us grow several times over without the wheels coming off. You'll work directly with the founders, which means you're expected to bring a point of view on what we should fix next, not just run what already exists.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain & Fulfilment Leadership:

- Own end-to-end supply chain, warehousing, fulfilment and last mile across all channels.

- Set and hold dispatch, OTIF and delivery SLAs, and build the governance that keeps them honest.

- Own inventory accuracy, ageing and shrinkage across D2C, Retail, Marketplace and B2B.

- Build the warehouse and network design that supports the next stage of scale, including new locations and channels.

- Own reverse logistics, returns and RTO reduction as a business metric, not a back office task.

Planning & Capacity:

- Own demand and supply planning in partnership with Merchandising, Production and Finance.

- Build capacity plans across manufacturing, warehousing and logistics ahead of demand, not behind it.

- Drive fill rates and stock availability across every channel and every launch.

- Plan and land peak season, new category launches and expansion into new geographies.

Cost & Commercial Ownership:

- Own the operations cost line and drive year on year improvement in cost per order and cost per unit.

- Lead negotiations with 3PL, courier, warehousing and logistics partners.

- Build the unit economics view of operations and bring it to the leadership table with clear trade-offs.

- Identify and kill structural inefficiency across logistics, warehousing, procurement and supply chain.

Systems, Data & Automation:

- Own the ERP and WMS roadmap, from implementation through to adoption and process standardisation.

- Build the operational MIS and dashboards that leadership and the board actually use.

- Drive automation and digitisation across the operations stack.

- Partner with Technology and Product on integrations, order management and warehouse systems.

Vendor & Partner Ecosystem:

- Build and manage the supplier, logistics and fulfilment partner network.

- Run partners on KPIs and structured reviews, with clear consequences and clear escalation.

- Build redundancy into the network so no single partner can hold operations hostage.

Cross Functional & Founder Partnership:

- Partner with Merchandising, Procurement, Finance, Customer Experience, Retail, Marketplace and Product.

- Bring structured problem-solving to the messy problems nobody has picked up yet.

- Work directly with the founders on strategic initiatives, new channels and new categories.

- Build the operations view that goes into board and investor reporting.

Team Leadership:

- Build, lead and grow the operations team across warehouse, fulfilment, planning and logistics.

- Hire well, set clear ownership, and develop the people below you into owners.

- Build operational discipline, review rhythm and accountability across the function.

- Set the execution culture for a team that runs seven days a week.

Must Haves:

- 7 to 10 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Strategic Operations, with at least 2 years leading a team.

- Experience in D2C, E-commerce, Retail or Manufacturing, ideally in a brand that scaled fast.

- Deep understanding of omnichannel operations across D2C, Retail, Marketplace and B2B.

- Proven ownership of warehousing, fulfilment centres, inventory and third party logistics at scale.

- Track record of owning an operations cost line and improving it, with numbers you can talk through.

- Hands-on experience leading ERP or WMS implementation and driving adoption across teams.

- Strong analytical depth with advanced Excel and dashboarding, and comfort making decisions from data.

- Experience building and leading teams, including hiring and holding people to standards.

- Comfortable working directly with founders, leadership and investors.

- Ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing startup where the process may not exist yet.

Good to Have:

- Experience with SAP, Dynamics 365, Ginesys or similar ERP platforms.

- Experience scaling operations through a significant revenue jump in a high-growth startup.

- Exposure to Business Intelligence and Power BI.

- Experience launching new product categories or entering new channels from zero to one.

- Founder's Office or Strategic Operations background.

- Experience setting up a new warehouse or fulfilment centre from scratch.
