About Knya
Knya is a funded, fast-growing D2C brand redefining healthcare apparel for modern professionals, backed by DSG Consumer Partners. We combine functionality, comfort, and aesthetics to serve a community that deserves more from their workwear. Our culture values ownership, experimentation, speed, and customer obsession.
What Are You Entering Into
Knya is one of India's fastest-growing healthcare apparel brands and we're just getting started. When you join us, you're not filling a seat. You're stepping into a company that is actively being built, where the work you do today shapes what Knya looks like tomorrow. We're a team of driven people who care deeply about what we're building, move with purpose, and back each other to grow. If you're looking for a place where your contribution is visible, your growth is real, and your work actually matters to the people who wear what we make, this is it.
Role Overview
We're taking Knya beyond India, and we need someone to lead the charge. As International Sales Manager, you'll build our overseas B2B business from the ground up: finding the right markets, landing distributors and institutional buyers, and turning first orders into long-term accounts. You'll work closely with the production, operations and supply chain, and you'll own the international revenue number end to end.
Key Responsibilities
Market Strategy & Expansion:
- Identify and prioritise international markets for Knya's healthcare apparel, starting with high-potential regions such as the GCC, Southeast Asia, Africa and the UK.
- Build a clear go-to-market plan for each market: channel mix, pricing, margins, compliance needs and revenue targets.
- Track competitors, pricing and buyer expectations in every market you enter, and bring those insights back to the product and founding teams.
Business Development & Closing:
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, sampling, negotiation and closing.
- Land and grow partnerships with distributors, importers, hospital groups, healthcare institutions and uniform buyers.
- Represent Knya at international trade fairs, buyer meets and healthcare expos, and follow up until the deal closes.
- Respond to tenders and RFQs from overseas institutions with sharp, well-costed proposals.
Account Management & Growth:
- Build a healthy pipeline and manage key accounts so that repeat orders grow quarter on quarter.
- Be the single point of contact for international buyers, keeping them informed on orders, timelines and new launches.
- Handle escalations quickly and fairly, protecting both the relationship and Knya's margins.
Operations, Compliance & Reporting:
- Work with production and supply chain to plan export orders, lead times, MOQs and customisation requests.
- Coordinate export documentation, logistics, payment terms and country-specific certifications with finance and operations.
- Keep the CRM clean and share clear monthly reporting on pipeline, conversions, revenue and collections.
Must Haves:
- 5 to 8 years of international B2B sales experience, with a proven record of opening new overseas markets or accounts.
- Background in apparel, textiles, uniforms, medical consumables or healthcare products.
- Hands-on understanding of export processes: Incoterms, documentation, payment terms (LC, advance, credit) and shipping.
- Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to close large deals with distributors and institutional buyers.
- Excellent written and spoken English and comfort working across time zones.
- Willingness to travel internationally as the role demands.
Good to Have:
- Existing network of distributors, importers or hospital procurement contacts in the GCC, Southeast Asia, Africa or the UK.
- Experience selling to hospitals, healthcare institutions or through government and institutional tenders.
- Familiarity with international product standards and certifications for healthcare textiles.
- Experience scaling an international channel at a startup or growing D2C brand.
