About Knya:
Knya is a funded, fast-growing D2C brand redefining healthcare apparel for modern professionals, backed by DSG Consumer Partners. We combine functionality, comfort, and aesthetics to serve a community that deserves more from their workwear. Our culture values ownership, experimentation, speed, and customer obsession.
What Are You Entering Into:
Knya is one of India's fastest-growing healthcare apparel brands and we're just getting started. When you join us, you're not filling a seat. You're stepping into a company that is actively being built, where the work you do today shapes what Knya looks like tomorrow. We're a team of driven people who care deeply about what we're building, move with purpose, and back each other to grow. If you're looking for a place where your contribution is visible, your growth is real, and your work actually matters to the people who wear what we make, this is it.
Role Overview:
Doctors, nurses and healthcare teams already choose Knya for themselves. Now we want to be the first name hospitals, clinics, medical colleges and healthcare chains think of when they buy for their people. As Business Development Head, you'll build and own Knya's B2B business from the ground up. You'll set the strategy, open the big accounts, build the team and turn institutional sales into a serious growth engine for Knya. You'll work directly with the founders and closely with product, supply chain and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build the B2B business:
- Own B2B revenue for Knya. Set the strategy, targets and plan, and deliver on them.
- Define our ideal customers across hospitals, clinic chains, diagnostic networks, medical and nursing colleges, and corporate healthcare teams.
- Build pricing, discount and contract structures for institutional deals with finance, protecting margin as we grow volume.
- Bring a clear view of the market, competitors and where Knya can win.
2. Win and grow accounts:
- Open doors with decision makers: procurement heads, HR and admin teams, medical directors and college management.
- Lead large deals end to end, from first meeting and sampling to negotiation, tendering and closing.
- Grow existing accounts through repeat orders, new departments and new locations.
- Build a strong referral and partnership network across the healthcare ecosystem.
3. Make delivery work:
- Work with product and design on customisation, branding, sizing drives and sampling for institutional orders.
- Partner with supply chain and operations to plan bulk orders so we deliver on time, every time.
- Own the customer experience after the sale, from fitting drives to reorders and issue resolution.
4. Build the team and the system:
- Hire, lead and grow a B2B sales team as the business scales.
- Set up the CRM, pipeline reviews and reporting so the founders always know where B2B stands.
- Track pipeline, conversion, deal size, collections and account profitability.
Must Haves:
- 8 - 12 years of B2B or institutional sales experience, with at least 3 years leading a sales team or business line.
- A track record of selling to hospitals, healthcare institutions or large enterprise buyers.
- Experience closing large, multi-stakeholder deals, including procurement processes and tenders.
- A strong network with decision makers in healthcare or institutional procurement.
- Comfortable owning a revenue number and being accountable for it.
- Commercial sharpness on pricing, margins and payment terms, not just topline.
- Builder mindset. You've set up something from scratch before, or you're hungry to.
Good to Have:
- Experience selling uniforms, apparel, medical supplies or other healthcare products to institutions.
- Experience in a startup or a D2C brand building a B2B channel.
- Exposure to government or public hospital tenders.
- Relationships across multiple Indian metros and tier 2 cities.
- Hands-on with CRM tools like Zoho, HubSpot or Salesforce.
