Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a dual role:
1. Engage with corporate HR and DEI leaders to pitch KLAY's childcare services (onsite, near-site, back-up care).
2. Build partnerships with K-12 schools
You'll own the entire sales cycle-from cold connect to pitch, proposal, negotiation, and closure-and work independently to build the KLAY presence in your assigned geography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and acquire new corporate clients and K-12 school partners in your region
- Conduct cold outreach, lead discovery conversations, and present tailored solutions (virtually and in person)
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline using Salesforce CRM
- Pitch to mid-to-senior HR leaders, school owners, and academic heads
- Lead proposals, follow-ups, pricing discussions, and contract closures
- Use tools like LinkedIn, Lusha, Apollo, etc., to generate leads and execute targeted outreach campaigns
- Represent KLAY at industry events and client engagement activities
- Meet and exceed weekly targets of 10+ qualified meetings and quarterly revenue goals
What We're Looking For?
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High emotional intelligence and ability to build rapport with senior stakeholders
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset - this is a remotely managed, independent role
- Hands-on understanding of B2B lead journeys, cold calling, and outbound selling
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
- Strong LinkedIn presence and ability to use LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lusha, or Apollo for cold outreach and prospecting
- Preferred industries: HR services, SaaS, event sales, hospitality, or consultative service roles
- Prior experience engaging with HR, procurement, or CXO-level decision-makers is a plus
