Role Overview:
KL University is seeking an experienced and dynamic Placement Officer to lead the university's campus placement efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong industry connections, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful student placements across sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Campus Recruitment & Placement:
- Plan, organize, and execute campus placement drives for engineering, management, and other streams.
- Build strong relationships with corporates, HR professionals, and recruiters to drive placement opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal departments to align students' skill development with industry demands.
Industry Connect & Employer Outreach:
- Proactively reach out to new companies, establish tie-ups for recruitment and internships.
- Organize industry interaction sessions, webinars, guest lectures, and pre-placement talks.
Placement Strategy & Analytics:
- Set annual placement targets and define KPIs for placement success.
- Maintain placement statistics, company feedback, and track hiring trends across sectors.
- Analyze gaps in student preparedness and recommend skill-building measures.
Student Engagement & Training:
- Conduct resume workshops, interview preparation sessions, group discussions, and mock interviews.
- Guide students on career options, higher studies, and industry expectations.
- Shortlist and mentor students based on job requirements and company expectations.
Coordination & Reporting:
- Liaise between the university, students, and employers for all placement-related communication.
- Submit weekly and monthly placement reports to university leadership.
- Ensure end-to-end coordination on placement day logistics.
Candidate Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in placements, corporate relations, or talent acquisition (preferably in higher education or training institutes).
- Strong network of recruiters in IT, BFSI, FMCG, manufacturing, and consulting domains.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office tools and data reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA/PGDM in HR, Marketing, or related discipline.
- Exposure to campus hiring, TPO functions, or institutional partnerships.
- Candidates with local (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana) industry connect will be preferred.
