We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Internal Auditor with a strong background in Accounting, Taxation, Internal Audit, Legal, and Secretarial Compliance.
This role is critical for ensuring our NBFCs adherence to RBI regulations, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
You will lead audit functions, assess risk, and support strategic compliance initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth financial audits in alignment with Ind AS standards by reviewing financial statements, ledgers, and processes for compliance and accuracy, while also assisting in the development and maintenance of the annual audit plan.
Taxation Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations by coordinating with tax advisors for the preparation of tax returns and support during audits.
Legal & Secretarial Compliance:
- Monitor legal and regulatory updates, particularly those issued by the RBI, to ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, the Companies Act, and secretarial standards, while also reviewing legal documents and contracts for adherence to applicable regulations.
Internal Audits:
- Lead and execute audits across accounting, taxation, and legal domains by identifying compliance risks, collaborating with teams for mitigation, and driving the implementation of corrective actions based on audit findings.
Regulatory Reporting:
- Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports to the RBI and other authorities while maintaining audit-ready documentation and records.
Risk Assessment & Management:
- Conduct risk assessments across key compliance areas and implement risk mitigation strategies in accordance with RBI norms.
Documentation & Recordkeeping:
- Maintain organized records for all financial, legal, and secretarial compliance to ensure readiness for audits and inspections.
Training & Compliance Awareness:
- Conduct internal training to enhance awareness of RBI and statutory compliance while advising stakeholders on evolving regulatory expectations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with internal legal and compliance teams to resolve regulatory matters and liaise with external legal advisors as needed.
Audit Reporting:
- Create detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans, and present key audit insights to senior management and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
Education:
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in internal audit, accounting, taxation, legal, or secretarial roles within RBI-regulated NBFCs.
- Proficient in RBI compliance, Digital lending operation, Ind AS, taxation law, legal frameworks.
Strong exposure in Financial and Secured Audits, NBFC compliance.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
