Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and performance-driven Assistant Branch Manager to lead operations and drive strategic growth at our Salem branch. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of consumer lending, operational excellence, and people management, while embodying Kissht's ethos of customer-first innovation.
This role is critical to ensuring smooth day-to-day branch operations, accelerating business development initiatives, achieving monthly disbursement and collection targets, and upholding regulatory and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead branch-level operations with a strong focus on productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Supervise, coach, and motivate front-line staff including loan officers, credit executives, and customer support associates
- Manage performance dashboards, KPIs, and ensure alignment with organizational targets
Sales & Business Development
- Drive growth of retail and MSME loan products through strategic partnerships, local outreach, and digital penetration
- Own P&L responsibilities of the branch, ensuring target achievement across disbursements, collections, and cross-sell
- Conduct regular market analysis and identify emerging opportunities in underbanked regions
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure 100% adherence to internal policies, audit requirements, and RBI regulations
- Oversee loan origination, customer KYC validation, and end-to-end disbursement lifecycle using internal digital platforms
- Collaborate with risk, collections, and legal teams to maintain healthy portfolio quality
- Customer Experience & Escalation Management
- Champion a customer-first culture at the branch level
- Address grievances promptly and ensure a seamless service experience across channels
- Build deep community relationships to enhance brand trust and word-of-mouth growth
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in retail banking, NBFCs, or fintech-preferably in branch operations, sales, or credit
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, target achievement, and market expansion
- Familiarity with unsecured lending, EMI-based products, and digital loan platforms
Technical & Functional Competencies:
- Strong understanding of credit underwriting, loan lifecycle management, and operational controls
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, CRM tools, and internal MIS/reporting systems
- Data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to analyze business performance
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred
