Position Title: MEP - Manager

Location: Head Office, Chennai

Job description:

- The MEP lead will assist Head Projects in the overall MEP design, execution, and preparation of estimates, BOQs, vendor evaluation, bill certification and closure.

- Responsible for the preparation of SLDs, Light Looping layout, Power & floor raceway , FAS, FPS, CCTV, PA system, Intruder alarm, Cable tray layout & power panel arrangement, Equipment layouts & HVAC layouts

- To prepare & standardise BOQs with quantities and rates based on rate analysis workings.

- Preparation of Electrical & heat load sheets based on design requirement.

- Equipment specification, selection, vendor drawings review, purchase, factory test, start-up and commissioning support.

- Assist Head projects in creation of SOPs for the complete cycle of design to execution.

- Implementing detailed engineering MEP activities, finalization of requirements and specifications. Preparing technical specifications, scope and deliverables, estimates and based on requirements generated during detailed engineering of the project

- Onsite monitoring and execution of projects

- Measurements check and certifications of projects

- Execution and personal supervision of major breakdowns

- Follow-ups for R&M issues closure with store teams as well as vendors

- Ensure timely delivery of materials at site by vendors

- Utility/ energy consumption tracking and records maintenance

- Liaising and negotiating with contractors, the building supplies industry, council services and other relevant organizations

- Keeping accurate records and regularly collecting energy monitoring data

- Carrying out site inspections and energy surveys

- Benchmarking energy consumptions against best practice guidelines

- Keeping up to date with legislation such as the Government amendments in energy/ power etc.

Preferred candidate profile

- BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical candidates preferably from retail background with minimum of 10 - 12 years of experience in MEP Design & execution are preferred.

- Willing to travel to Project locations across South India based on the project requirement.
