Key Account Manager - Modern Trade, Quick Commerce & E-commerce
Location: Mumbai (Tardeo)
Level: Manager
Company Overview: The company is a well-established rice/spices exporter with strong sourcing, milling, and quality capabilities built over two decades of international trade. Having earned credibility in global markets, the promoters are now entering the Indian domestic packaged rice segment, with a clear intent to build a scalable, profitable, and trusted brand.
Role Objective
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for driving growth, visibility, and profitability across Modern Trade (MT), Quick Commerce (Q-Com), and E-commerce platforms.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Head - Sales & Marketing
- Ownership: Individual contributor with future team leadership
Key Responsibilities
- Drive primary and secondary sales across Modern Trade, Quick Commerce, and E- commerce channels
- Lead account onboarding, listings, assortment expansion, and SKU activation
- Ensure strong in-store and online visibility, availability, and execution excellence
- Plan, execute, and track promotions within approved budgets; monitor ROI
- Execute new product launches and ensure sustained off take across key accounts
- Build and manage strong relationships with key retail and platform partners
- Track secondary sales, fill-rates, and channel performance metrics
- Support joint business planning and commercial negotiations with accounts
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
- Achievement of channel-wise sales targets
- Expansion of listings and assortment depth
- Improvement in visibility and availability metrics
- Promotion effectiveness and ROI delivery
- Successful execution and scale-up of new product launches
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 4 to 8 years of experience in FMCG / Consumer Products
- Hands-on experience managing Modern Trade + Quick Commerce + E-commerce
- Strong exposure to structured retail execution and account ownership
- Proven track record of delivering sales growth in organized channels
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Experience in food/grains/staples category is a plus
- Based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai
