Role Overview:
As a Key Account Manager - Modern Trade, you will be the driving force behind our company's growth within the modern retail landscape in Pune. Your day-to-day will involve nurturing and expanding relationships with key modern trade accounts, developing and executing strategic account plans, and ensuring our products achieve optimal visibility and sales performance. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to deliver exceptional service and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both our company and our valued retail partners. Your success will directly impact our market share, revenue growth, and brand presence within the modern trade channel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic account plans for key modern trade partners in Pune, focusing on achieving sales targets and increasing market share.
- Manage and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at assigned accounts, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Negotiate trade agreements, promotional programs, and shelf space optimization strategies to maximize product visibility and sales.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for growth within assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of marketing programs, product launches, and supply chain operations.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts, presenting performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and developing joint action plans.
- Resolve any issues or concerns raised by key accounts in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and challenges.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful key account management strategies within the modern trade channel.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in modern retail environments.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in key account management within the FMCG or consumer goods industry, specifically targeting modern trade outlets.
- Adaptable to on-site work requirements in Pune, with occasional travel to client locations.
