The Key Account Manager - Modern Trade will be responsible for managing and growing key modern trade accounts, driving revenue, strengthening relationships, and executing category and promotion strategies across national and regional retail chains. The role will be based in Delhi NCR and will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Business Growth:
- Manage key modern trade accounts including national and regional chains.
- Drive topline growth through range expansion, new listings, and volume growth.
- Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key customers.
- Ensure achievement of sales targets, visibility, and distribution objectives.
Commercial & Trade Marketing:
- Negotiate commercials, margins, promotions, and annual contracts.
- Plan and execute in-store promotions, activations, and seasonal campaigns.
- Monitor ROI on promotions and ensure effective spend management.
Execution & Operations:
- Ensure smooth order flow, forecasting, and replenishment in coordination with supply chain.
- Track secondary sales, stock levels, and sell-through performance.
- Resolve operational issues related to billing, claims, and service levels.
Market & Category Insights:
- Track competition, pricing, assortment, and consumer trends in Modern Trade.
- Provide inputs on product launches, pack innovations, and pricing strategies.
- Support category growth initiatives in staples and premium rice segments.
Candidate Profile:
Experience & Skills:
- 5-10 years of experience in Modern Trade sales within FMCG / Food / Staples / Agriproducts.
- Strong exposure to handling national or regional key accounts.
- Proven experience in negotiations, JBPs and trade promotions.
- Sound understanding of Modern Trade dynamics, metrics and KPIs.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Education - Graduate in any discipline; MBA preferred.
