Job Title: Key Account Manager - Modern Trade & Q-Commerce

Location: Chennai

Experience: 7-10 years

Education: MBA from a premier institution (preferred)

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Key Account Manager to lead and grow business across Modern Trade and Q-Commerce platforms. This role will be responsible for driving revenue, managing key accounts, and building strong partnerships across leading retail and quick commerce channels.

Key Responsibilities

Business Management & Growth

- Own P&L and drive revenue, profitability, and market share across MT and Q-Commerce channels

- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with business objectives

- Identify growth opportunities through expansion, visibility, and new product listings

Account & Stakeholder Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key account stakeholders and platform teams

- Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) and periodic business reviews

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution

Sales Planning & Execution

- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

- Monitor SKU-wise and category-wise performance to drive continuous improvement

- Ensure high service levels, product availability, and execution excellence

Assortment, Listings & Visibility

- Drive assortment planning, product listings, and catalog optimization

- Ensure accurate and compelling product content across platforms

- Plan and execute promotions, activations, and visibility initiatives

Demand Planning & Operations

- Work closely with supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory and replenishment

- Maintain strong operational metrics including fill rates, OTIF, and low cancellations

- Resolve operational issues such as billing, claims, and payments

Commercials & Negotiation

- Lead negotiations on margins, trade terms, and promotional investments

- Manage budgets, pricing compliance, and financial hygiene across accounts

Data Analytics & Insights

- Analyze sales data, consumer behavior, and competitive trends

- Build dashboards and generate actionable insights to drive growth

- Track ROI on promotions and optimize investments

Key Requirements

- MBA from a premier institution (preferred)

- 7-10 years of experience in FMCG, preferably in Food or Staples

- Strong exposure to both Modern Trade and Q-Commerce / E-commerce platforms

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and data tools

- Good understanding of supply chain, trade terms, and retail operations

- High ownership, agility, and problem-solving ability
