Job Title: Key Account Manager Higher Education and Skills (HE) - English
Location: Mumbai (Base), covering West India
Reports to: Lead Key Account Management, South Asia
Contract Type: Permanent
Role Overview:
- Develop and execute account plans to retain and expand business with key institutions.
- Build trust-based, long-term relationships with decision-makers and influencers within HE and skills institutions.
- Monitor and manage accounts categorized as Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze, ensuring progress against objectives.
Customer Engagement & Service Delivery:
- Facilitate smooth onboarding of new partner institutions and ensure seamless delivery of English exams and learning services.
- Collaborate with operations, propositions, and customer service teams to address and resolve operational issues.
- Conduct regular check-ins, review meetings, and feedback sessions to maintain strong engagement with HE clients.
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within assigned accounts.
- Achieve and exceed KPIs related to revenue growth, customer retention, and satisfaction.
- Work closely with regional colleagues to engage large HE chains with multi-city presence, expanding market reach.
Reporting & Data Management:
- Maintain accurate account records and update the sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Track account performance and provide regular insights and updates to leadership.
- Use customer feedback and market insights to inform product and service development discussions.
Collaboration:
- Partner with marketing to design account-specific campaigns and initiatives.
- Work with teams across South Asia, including Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, to align on best practices for HE engagement.
- Participate in regional forums, knowledge sharing, and learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with academic teams to manage portfolio accounts effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Education, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, business development, or B2B client relationship roles, preferably in education or service sectors.
- Experience managing institutional or HE accounts is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- C1 level proficiency in English (CEFR).
- Familiarity with the English language education ecosystem in India and understanding of international curricula is a plus.
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or Dynamics and managing multi-location accounts is advantageous.
