Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead the financial controllership function at Kazam. You will oversee accounting, compliance, audit, and internal controls while ensuring financial accuracy and timely reporting to support our scaling operations. This is a key leadership role that ensures financial discipline and transparency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Ind-AS/IFRS.

- Help statutory, internal, and tax audits.

- Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., Companies Act, GST, TDS, etc.).

Accounting & Operations

- Oversee general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting.

- Implement and maintain robust accounting processes and systems.

- Manage the close process and ensure reconciliations are performed accurately.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

- Design and enforce internal control frameworks and SOPs.

- Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation plans.

- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen controls.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

- Manage and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals.

- Work cross-functionally with FP&A, legal, supply chain, and business units to drive operational efficiency.

Systems & Tools

- Lead automation and digitization initiatives within finance.

- Partner with product/tech teams to integrate financial systems (e.g., ERP, billing platforms).

Requirements:

- CA/CPA or equivalent finance qualification required.

- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or controllership roles.

- Strong understanding of Indian GAAP and international standards.

- Experience in a fast-paced tech or manufacturing environment (EV, energy, SaaS preferred).

- Familiarity with ERPs like Tally, or Zoho Books.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
