Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Workday Product Owner to drive the functional product vision and lead solution delivery during Workday implementation programs. The role will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, deployable Workday solutions while ensuring alignment with implementation timelines and Workday best practices. The ideal candidate should have strong functional expertise in Workday, experience managing end-to-end implementation lifecycles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- Act as the functional owner throughout the Workday implementation lifecycle, including Discovery, Design, Build, Test, and Deploy phases.

- Define and manage the functional product vision, roadmap, and implementation backlog.

- Drive solution design decisions aligned with Workday best practices while avoiding unnecessary customizations.

- Partner with functional consultants, integration teams, and client stakeholders to deliver business requirements effectively.

- Lead design workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution validation discussions.

- Ensure readiness and successful execution of :

1. Conference Room Pilots (CRPs)

2. User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

3. Go-Live and deployment activities

- Prioritize requirements, manage scope, and control scope changes throughout the implementation lifecycle.

- Act as the primary escalation point for functional decisions and issue resolution during deployment.

- Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with business objectives and implementation standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Significant experience within the Workday ecosystem.

- Relevant end-to-end Workday implementation experiences (mandatory).

- Experience working with a Workday implementation partner.

- Strong functional expertise in one or more Workday modules :

1. Payroll

2. Absence Management

3. Time Tracking

4. Financial Management

- Proven experience working in Agile or hybrid implementation environments.

- Strong understanding of Workday configuration capabilities and customization boundaries.

- Experience leveraging implementation accelerators, templates, and best practices.

- Relevant Workday certifications with willingness to transfer certifications, if required.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience leading Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) and solution design authority discussions.

- Ability to challenge and guide stakeholders on non-standard requirements and recommend best-fit Workday solutions.

- Experience managing large-scale or multi-country Workday implementations.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive successful implementation outcomes.
