Job Title : Deputy General Manager - Finance & Accounts

Reporting Manager : Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Work Location/s : Karur, Tamil Nadu

Major Roles & Responsibilities :

Support to CFO & Financial Leadership :

- Support the CFO in formulating and executing the organization's financial strategy and annual financial plans.

- Act as a principal advisor to the CFO on financial operations, regulatory matters, and risk management.

- Represent the CFO in internal and external forums, committees, and meetings as delegated.

- Ensure continuity of financial leadership in the absence of the CFO, within delegated authority.

Accounting, Financial Control & Reporting :

- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounting, budgeting, financial control, and MIS.

- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.

- Coordinate the design, maintenance, and enhancement of accounting systems, financial reports, and statistical returns.

- Support implementation and ongoing compliance with IFRS / Ind AS across the organization.

- Ensure timely submission of financial and regulatory reports to management and statutory authorities.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance :

- Oversee compliance with GST, TDS, and other direct and indirect tax regulations.

- Coordinate tax filings, assessments, audits, and responses to statutory notices.

- Support tax planning initiatives to ensure efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Regulatory, Audit & Governance :

- Coordinate statutory, internal, concurrent, and regulatory audits in collaboration with the CFO.

- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.

- Assist the CFO in reporting audit findings, including SEBI and regulatory audit requirements, to senior management and Board-level committees.

- Monitor adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.

Performance Monitoring & Management Support :

- Track and analyse financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and strategic targets.

- Monthly review of Business units/ Divisional offices.

- Prepare analytical reports and presentations for the CFO, senior management, and Board.

- Support senior management in decision-making through financial analysis and scenario assessments.

Investor Relations :

- Support the IR team/CFO to communicate financial results, earnings releases, and annual reports to various stakeholders.

- Participation in investors calls / investor conferences.

- Foster relationships with research analysts covering the company and provide them with accurate and relevant information to support their coverage and analysis in coordination with IR team.

- Team Leadership & Capability Building :

- Provide leadership and guidance to finance teams to ensure high standards of performance and compliance.

- Support talent development, knowledge sharing, and succession planning within the finance function.

- Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Other Responsibilities :

- Undertake any other assignments or responsibilities as delegated by the CFO or higher authorities from time to time in the interest of the organization.
