Role Overview:
- The Delivery Head / BU Head - Automotive will own end-to-end business, delivery, and capability charter for the automotive vertical. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, delivery excellence, customer success, and technical differentiation.
- The role goes beyond delivery-owning P&L, account growth, capability building, and innovation strategy-while positioning the organization as a high-value engineering partner to global OEMs and Tier-1s.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Ownership & Growth (P&L):
- Own P&L for the Automotive Business Unit, including revenue, margins, and growth targets.
- Drive account mining, farming, and strategic customer expansion.
- Partner with Sales to win large deals, define GTM strategy, and build long-term pipelines.
- Identify and open new business areas, domains, and geographies.
- Build strategic relationships with CXOs and key customer stakeholders.
Delivery Excellence & Execution:
- Lead end-to-end delivery across all automotive programs with full accountability for quality, cost, and timelines.
- Establish scalable delivery models, governance frameworks, and best practices.
- Drive predictability, risk management, and operational excellence.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction (CSAT), repeat business, and long-term partnerships.
- Own resource strategy, utilization, and delivery profitability.
Technical Capability & Innovation Leadership:
- Define and drive organization-wide technical vision and competency roadmap.
Build strong capabilities across:
i. AUTOSAR, Embedded Systems, ECU Development
ii. Android Automotive & Infotainment
iii. Connectivity & Diagnostics
iv. HiL, V&V, and Functional Safety
- Establish Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and innovation pipelines.
- Drive creation of IP, accelerators, reusable frameworks, and solution assets.
- Position the organization as a technology thought leader through demos, PoCs, and customer engagements.
Talent Strategy & Leadership:
- Build and scale high-performing engineering and leadership teams.
- Drive hiring strategy, leadership grooming, and succession planning.
- Establish strong competency frameworks, certifications, and capability benchmarks.
- Mentor senior leaders and create a culture of ownership, innovation, and excellence.
Strategic Pre-Sales & Solutioning:
- Lead large deal solutioning, architecture definition, and technical positioning.
- Drive differentiated value propositions aligned with customer needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor for customers on technology and transformation initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors/Masters in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or related field.
- 15-22 years of experience in automotive embedded systems, with strong BU/Delivery leadership exposure.
- Proven track record of owning P&L, scaling teams, and growing accounts.
- Deep expertise in multiple automotive domains (AUTOSAR, Embedded, IVI, Connectivity, V&V).
- Strong customer-facing, business development, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build capabilities and drive innovation at scale.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Mandatory: Willingness to work from office (JP Nagar 8th Phase, Bangalore).
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Exposure to multi-geo delivery models and offshore scaling.
- Experience in setting up new business units or practices from scratch.
- Strong understanding of ASPICE, ISO 26262, and automotive quality frameworks.
- Prior experience in product engineering or IP-led offerings.
